Bike Lights powered by NE555 timers

I built a NE555-powered blinker circuit for my bicycle, complete with brake lights and turn signals. It was a fun and practical project that adds both safety and functionality to my rides.

My reason for building this was that I noticed at night, it wasn’t as safe to ride as cars turn in on roads or through crossings and thus it was dependent on me to prevent getting hit. College Station streets are usually unforgiving since there seems to be a great deal of crashes here everyday.

In the process, I somehow ended up blowing both the NE555’s that ran the blinkers and brake lights, so I had to order new ones.

Here I show how the blinkers work. I can choose to flash them together or do them individually!
